This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the public demonstration instance of Synapse AI hosted at http://144.34.87.24:8501/. It does not apply to self-hosted instances of the software deployed by users on their own infrastructure.

2. Public Shared Environment

The public demo is a shared environment.

Shared Database: All users interact with a single, shared Vector Database instance.
Data Visibility: Documents uploaded to the demo may be accessible or queryable by other users utilizing the demo simultaneously.
No Isolation: There is no user authentication or data isolation between sessions.

⚠️ WARNING: DO NOT UPLOAD SENSITIVE DATA Never upload Personally Identifiable Information (PII), financial data, proprietary business secrets, or any other confidential information to the public demo.

3. Data Retention

Temporary Storage: Uploaded files are processed and stored temporarily for the purpose of the demonstration.
No Guarantee of Persistence: The database may be reset at any time by any user triggering the "Reset DB" function, or by system maintenance.
No Backup: No backups are performed on the demo environment.

4. Liability

The public demo is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developers and maintainers of Synapse AI assume no liability for:

Loss of data.
Exposure of sensitive data uploaded by users contrary to this policy.
Service interruptions or availability.
